ABOUT
CHANGING THE FACE OF TECH THROUGH CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS.
Ada Developers Academy is an 11 month intensive school for software development serving women and gender expansive people with underrepresented backgrounds. As a nonprofit founded in 2013, we’ve helped companies like Amazon, Google, and Indeed to create new emerging talent and solve their tech pipeline issues through our internship program.
We partner with companies committed to changing the face of tech.
Corporate partners host Ada interns on their engineering teams
Interns get hands-on industry experience working on software development at the company
Corporate partners get a pipeline of diverse, emerging talent to hire after the internship
Software engineering interns that grow and thrive.
Our corporate partners love working with us because of our intern training and recruitment process. We evaluate an applicant’s desire to enter the tech industry, passion for Ada’s mission of social justice, and technical readiness.
The classroom training lasts 6 months, and although they may be new to software development, this is often their 2nd or 3rd career. They bring real-world work experience and soft skills, including communication, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
To match a student and corporate partner for their internship, we use a proprietary matching and interview process with hiring managers.
Fast-track an Ada intern on your team.
The process is simple. Ada trains students through a 6-month classroom program learning full-stack web development. During the students’ classroom training, corporate partner managers complete Inclusivity Training sessions, preparing them to onboard an intern.
Seamlessly add your Ada intern to your engineering teams for 5 months to complete their hands-on training to become hireable junior software developers.
Inclusion starts with you.
Ada is a trailblazer in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we share our knowledge to help managers become more inclusive leaders and create better places to work. Our Inclusivity Training is included for all our corporate partners’ managers and mentors.
The virtual trainings are led by IDI (Intercultural Development Inventory) certified facilitators and cover topics such as inclusive leadership, social justice, and bias. We help guide our corporate partners to act on inclusion, so they can meet and exceed their goals by attracting and retaining diverse talent.
